I started working in clay at Hamilton college under professor Robert Palusky where I earned a B.A. with honors in Fine Arts and subsequently went on to the University of Notre Dame studying under William Kremer and recieving an M.F.A. in ceramic sculpture. For years I ran my own business in NYC designing and building roof top gardens. My wife an I resettled in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee about 5 years ago. I set up Drakes Creek Pottery and have been working full time as an artist/potter. My life experiences have been diverse and from this I draw inspiration for my work. I love what I do.
