TandM (pronounced “tandem”) Woodcraft is a self-taught father-daughter partnership turning wood into artistic functional pieces. Our business was launched in 2017 after several years of making fine art functional wood pieces for family and friends. We use exotic and domestic woods and bold geometric patterns to create functional serving/cutting boards, trays, tables, clocks and decorative pieces. Defects such as knots, insect damage and rot are filled with pigmented resins that complement the wood’s character for artistic effects. Multiple colors of pigmented resin are combined with wood slabs into larger pieces such as serving trays, coffee tables, sofa tables and dining tables for river pour and other complex effects. Our process is carefully planned and deliberate; from curating woods with distinct characteristics, to developing and executing unique patterns and designs; to applying custom finishes that bring out the beauty and luster of the wood grain.
