About
For more than half a decade, I have been making wearable art. I am a self-taught mixed metal artist that uses copper, silver, brass, titanium and some gold. In addition, I often incorporate industrial (repurposed gears) and natural elements (gemstones and fossils). My work is architectural and contemporary with an infusion of art deco motifs. I use traditional metal-smithing techniques that include riveting, stone setting, acid etching and soldering. I live with a Paleontologist, I am also a fan of fossils and often use them as central theme in my art. I work under the name Amorphic Metals, which means “without a set form.” I chose this because it gives me the freedom to explore different aesthetics and styles.
