Meghan Howell is an artist deeply interested in the intersection of light and form. Her work explores textures with high relief and layering that are informed by her interpretation of patterns found in nature. The vessels she creates have a sculptural form that are rarely a predetermined shape, but rather organically formed by the manipulation of the clay’s natural structure.
