Artist Statement
My art is an exploration of the soul, mind and heart. I flow between realism, fantasy, and surrealism, creating images that evoke an emotional response, and questioning of the self and our perception of the world. The world can see and the one we cannot. I am heavily influenced by dreams, fantasy, desire, anger, love, joy, and pain. I incorporate those elements into every aspect of my work, as a means of connecting to others in a way that I could never achieve through words. Art is my safe place. By creating art I am free from my fears and I can be completely myself:dark and light, happy and sad, brave and fearful. Because, in the end, the art I create is intended to be a mirror for the soul, a means of showing others that they are not alone.
