I have, in my adult life, been what you might call obsessed with history. Therefore, it was a natural progression when I began artwork from decades, oftentimes centuries old, reclaimed wood. My pieces are made from materials removed from houses, barns and buildings in Alabama, all of which were slated for a bulldozer, a match, or simply left there to rot. And every single bit of wood used in my artwork was pried off, collected, and hauled through woods and fields personally by myself. My love for history and craft has transformed this neglected material, and given it a chance at a new life through my artwork.
