Artist Statement
Using abstract form, color, and texture I paint to capture the holy moments encountered in everyday life. I believe we are created in the image of the one who created everything. So, then creating is an elemental part of what we are meant to do. Making art is a sacred joy, whether the inspiration for a particular piece is a happy time or a difficult situation. I hope my art evokes joy in others.

Aside from an artist, I am a retired United Methodist pastor. Along the way I also learned to play viola, served in the Army National Guard, graduated from Auburn, married the girl of my dreams, earned a master’s degree from Emory University, and become a father. And now I paint for joy!
