Artist Bio
Chris Hartsfield from Louisville, Kentucky has produced a complete new body of work. With his mixed media abstract paintings his intention is to create images that the viewer is challenged to view with a fresh eye. Composition, color, texture,and line are important components he is concerned with.
Each painting incorporates acrylic paint, inks, collage and textural elements. In some paintings, vibrant colors are important, in others subtlety and texture of the paint are of primary importance. Chris is hopeful that his 30 years of creating realism paintings will allow him to communicate a different narrative thru his abstract paintings.
