CHARLES TERSOLO, Painting
Other MCAC artists I enjoy are Stephen Ray, Holwerda, and many others. I chose to apply to Magic City because of the high number of sophisticated contemporary artists doing the show; If you fall in love with something a little different, don’t count the brushstroches. For art to have the impact to pull you in from a crowd, it has to have a visual punch that can’t be created by simply putting in more hours.
JOEL LOCKRIDGE, Wood
I know quite a few, but I’m terrible with names!
MICHAEL ZAVISON, Metal
Only showed one year and did not have a chance to see much. I do like Matt Underwood though.
MITCHELL BERG, 3D Mixed Media
Lance Heddan and Suzanne Shutz do amazing glass work.
