2017 MCAC Juror announced
The 2017 Magic City Art Connection (MCAC) juror will not have far to travel for her important role at the 34th annual festival happening April 28-30 in downtown Birmingham’s Linn Park. She’ll be coming from right across the street.
MCAC is honored to announce that Wassan Al-Khudhairi, Hugh Kaul Curator of Contemporary Art at the Birmingham Museum of Art, will be lending her expertise and art eye as she awards 24 cash prizes to talented festival exhibitors, including young artists of the future who are participating in the High School Sculpture Project competition.
Wassan’s story and career path are as impressive as they are interesting, and the energy she has brought to Birmingham has really made a difference in the city’s and region’s art world. We look forward to sharing her experience and influence with our 2017 artists. We are proud to call her our own!
